Helen Levitt - Children

Helen Levitt has made some of the most fantastic pictures of children during her long life (1913-2009). I show here my favorites (but I do not know all, and didn't find on the net all my faves). It's an hommage to our childhood, indifferent to the living conditions but ready to find happiness everywhere if there are some things to play with and friends, friends, friends. Wonderfull little animals we are. If only the society would not destroy this ability to be happy and made of us miserable adults. Rousseau wrote about all that 3 centuries ago, and it's as vivid today as it was when published. These pictures are like the demonstration of it. In some of them, you can see some adult traits germinating.
