Heinrich Kühn (1866-1944)

One of the most forgotten, underrated and seminal photograph of the history of this art. When looking at these pictures, one cannot avoid thinking of a picture equivalent of impressionism. But I would say much more moving since these people are real. There's something magical and in the same time quite depressing when thinking that these simple life scenes were shot more than one century ago (in the first decade of the XXth century for most of them). Time's a killer.

  1. Thanks for sharing these pictures....definately a "forgotten one", I knew nothing about him until a few days......No doubt a master in his style!
