Sandra Torralba - Estranged sex

Sandra Torralba is a Spanish photograph who questions the sexual behaviors of her contempories in a very effective (efficient?) way. She creates narrative scenes that talk for themselves without providing any moral, political or feminist judgement. She puts in pictures (she's the female model on all shots, the man is often her husband and the lady in her bedroom whilst she masturbates is her mother) her own perplexity in front of the variety of fantasms that males and females are involved in, and therefore, reveals our own if we share this questioning ourselves. I think many have no question about that and believe they know well what to think about it. Not her. And not me. It's an important work she does there to my eyes. And moreover, it's rather funny. More from her here.
