Ione Rucquoi - Various

Here again a very disturbing (and maybe disturbed) woman, born 35 years ago in UK, and providing a totally novative imagery full of obscure but oh so idiosyncrasic symbolism, borrowing to classical painting (Velasquez for the most part) and modern photography, but also to the happening movement with visceres and body transformations. Here her site and a presentation of her world. Peter Greenaway could make a movie with these strange creatures. It's good to dissolve in this nightmarish and poetic world. Cocteau would have appreciated. Someone who is a gift for scoptophilians.
