Rotimi Fani-Kayode - Every moment counts

A photograph born in Nigeria in 1955 and who died of AIDS aged 34 as too many artists in the 80s and 90s. He created the Autograph ABP. His imagery mixes homoerotism and Yoruba tradition from his native land. The important is that it provides a stunning and strong iconography. I didn't find any personal site about him. Just something about an exhibition here, with nice pictures (some I used in this post) and a citation from him I like a lot: "‘On three counts I am an outsider: in matters of sexuality; in terms of geographical and cultural dislocation; and in the sense of not having become the sort of respectably married professional my parents might have hoped for.’
