Patrick Gomme - Chair Corps

Another post from this French photographer (previous post here) who is doing a crucial job in constructing a splendid iconography of real human body, with its incredible and sensual but also sometimes terrible diversity (terrible because of what time and life does to it, even if each age has its sensuality). This series has really an iconic dimension in the classic painting tradition with a clear "vanity" decorum. Note that the name of his work is Chair Corps (flesh body) when this series is actually based on  naked models (rather a false name for real people but it's for convenience) sited on an (arm)chair. Sometimes different language have their own independant process of semantic creatin. More from Patrick Gomme later, with closest shots. His site here, his tumblr blog there. I tried to alternate males and females but the ratio is unbalanced so women are much more represented. I suppose many visitors would find it better that way but although I'm also more interested and fascinated by female than male body, it would be nice to have parity in this work.

Various - Women and skull

An endlessly inspirational confrontation. Eros and Thanatos. Some may think it's basic but everything else pales in comparison and seems so fucking contextual and useless. From gothico-romantic symbolism to pure voyeurism and sexual scoptophilia, a fine continuum showing the fascination this thema exerts on male minds.

Various - I got my hand on you

Another series (short one, didn't find more) about "woman holding her man by the dick" (my first novel was called, "Dick, faithful dog", I was 12 yrs old, so it's a way to close the circle since I don't write anymore). The previous was here. Lonely sundays are a good moment to have a tender look for this nice way of being the dog of a woman and to make of our useless sex a soft leash for a lady's hand.

Viktoria Tremmel - Images of men

Multi-support Austrian artist, Viktoria Tremmel did in 2004-06 this interesting series called "Images of men" that reminds me of the Mantenimiento series from Martin Morales Castillo (here), except that the roles are reversed (male dressed but doing the usual woman's home work with a nude woman in the same room, when in the Tremmel series male is nude but wearing flowers, fruits or a baby, here again an usual woman's attribution, with a dressed woman (the photographer) in the same room). I like these confrontations without really knowing if it goes far beyond the pleasure to see them. If you want to see more from her, here's a site.
