Nona Faustine - White shoes

This series from an American photographer called Nona Faustine consists in self-portraits (could we call these selfies now?) nude shot at various places of significance for "negro" slavery. Not sure the semantic target is reached (read it here) but the visual result is no less than interesting. Nothing dealing with the body per se here but it's part of the imagery anyway. And since she's not our usual pin-up model, there's also a function of exposing another American reality that is the prevalent body shape this civilisation presently produces. Another way to express (surely not voluntary) a slavery, the one that makes people consume and store energy when 150 years ago it was to starve and spend energy. Humanity is totally mad.
